🇮🇹Ferruccio Busoni ： Three Pieces in Old Style No.3 Op.10

Rooted in an attentive engagement with older musical styles, this concise yet nuanced miniature is shaped by poised melodic lines and balanced writing. In No. 3, listening closely to the relationship between the principal melody and inner voices, the coherence of each phrase, and changes in sonority from one passage to the next brings the musical flow into clearer focus. In performance, it is important to organize the individual voices, let the melody sing naturally, and treat ornaments and smaller gestures carefully rather than hurriedly. Seeking a supple breath and a warm tone without losing the archaic character brings out both the piece’s refinement and its accessibility.
