Piabase Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set forth the conditions for providing and using Piabase (the "Service"). Users (as defined in Article 2) shall use the Service only after agreeing to these Terms.
Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 (Application of the Terms)
- These Terms apply to all relationships regarding the conditions for providing the Service and the use of the Service by users.
- Users shall use the Service only after understanding and agreeing to the contents of these Terms.
Article 2 (Definitions)
The terms used in these Terms have the meanings set forth below.
- "Site" means the website that provides the Service.
- "User" means any person who browses or uses the Service.
- "Member" means a user who holds an account that can log in to the Service.
- "Posts and Similar Content" means impressions, practice status, comments, and any other information posted, submitted, registered, or displayed by a member on the Service.
- "External Login" means a login method that uses an account from an external service such as Google.
Chapter 2 Registration and Accounts
Article 3 (Registration)
- Some functions of the Service (for example, posting impressions and registering practice status) are available only to members.
- Membership registration shall be completed using the method prescribed by the Service (including external login).
- The Operator may refuse to approve a registration application if the application contains false information or if the Operator otherwise determines the application to be inappropriate.
Article 4 (Account Management)
- Members shall manage their accounts appropriately and at their own responsibility.
- Members shall not allow third parties to use, lend, transfer, rename, or sell their accounts.
- The Operator may deem any and all actions performed using a member’s account as actions by that member.
Chapter 3 Use of the Service
Article 5 (Conditions of Use)
- Users shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms and any rules separately established by the Service.
- When using external login, users shall also comply with the terms and conditions of the external service.
Article 6 (Prohibited Acts)
Users must not engage in the following acts when using the Service:
- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
- Acts related to criminal conduct
- Acts that infringe the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy, reputation, or other rights or interests of the Operator or any third party
- Impersonation, or registering or posting false information
- Acts that interfere with the operation of the Service, impose excessive load, or involve unauthorized access or similar conduct
- Advertising, promotion, solicitation, or sales activities (except those approved by the Operator)
- Acts that provide benefits to anti-social forces or otherwise involve anti-social forces
- Any other act that the Operator deems inappropriate
Chapter 4 Posts and Similar Content
Article 7 (Handling of Posts and Similar Content)
- Members shall post and handle posts and similar content at their own responsibility, including ensuring that they do not infringe any third-party rights.
- If the Operator determines that any post or similar content violates these Terms, the Operator may, without prior notice, delete or hide the content, restrict access to features, or take other necessary measures.
Chapter 5 Withdrawal and Account Deletion
Article 8 (Withdrawal)
- Members may withdraw from the Service using the method prescribed by the Service.
- After withdrawal, members will no longer be able to use member-only features.
Article 9 (Handling of Personal Information and Posts After Withdrawal)
- When a member withdraws, the Operator deletes personal information linked to that member, except where retention is required by law.
- However, posts and similar content (such as impressions and comments) may remain for quality maintenance and record-keeping. In such cases, those posts are switched to anonymous display such as "Deleted Account."
- Members agree that posts and similar content may not be deleted immediately upon withdrawal.
Chapter 6 Changes, Suspension, and Disclaimer
Article 10 (Changes or Suspension of the Service)
- The Operator may change the content of the Service or suspend or interrupt the Service for its own convenience.
- The Operator is not liable for any damages incurred by users due to changes, suspension, or interruption of the Service.
Article 11 (Changes to the Terms)
- The Operator may change these Terms as necessary.
- When changing these Terms, the Operator will notify users by posting the revised Terms and the effective date on the Service or by similar means.
- The revised Terms take effect on the effective date, and if a user uses the Service on or after that date, the user is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
Article 12 (Disclaimer)
- The Operator does not guarantee that the Service will meet a specific purpose of the user, or that it will have the functionality, accuracy, or usefulness expected by the user.
- The Operator is not responsible for transactions, communications, disputes, or similar matters between users or between a user and a third party.
Article 13 (Advertising and Affiliate Programs)
- The Service may display advertisements, affiliate links, and similar promotional content.
- If a user purchases a product or applies for a service through a link on the Service, the Operator may receive compensation.
- Products, services, prices, application conditions, campaign details, and other information provided through linked external sites are managed by the respective providers. Users shall confirm the latest information and terms on each external site at their own responsibility.
- The Operator is not responsible for transactions, contracts, damages, disputes, or similar matters arising between users and external service providers or advertisers.
Chapter 7 Miscellaneous
Article 14 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan, and any dispute arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Operator as the court of first instance.
Supplementary Provision
These Terms take effect on 01/06/2026.
