🇭🇺Franz Liszt ： Wanderer Fantasy (Schubert) S.366

This work is Liszt’s arrangement of Schubert’s Wanderer Fantasy for piano and orchestra. Centered on the advanced virtuosity of the solo piano, it expands the original’s dramatic momentum through the added color and weight of the orchestra. The piece unfolds through a succession of contrasting characters, balancing the tension of forceful rhythms with the lyricism of singing melodies. Highlights include the exchanges between the soloist and orchestra, brilliant passagework, and the seamless flow from one scene to the next. In performance, the aim is not merely to display technical skill, but to clarify the role of each voice, shape changes of tempo and dynamics on a broad scale, and preserve both the breathing quality of the melodies and the work’s overall momentum.
