🇳🇴Edvard Grieg ： Lyric Pieces Book 10 Once Upon a Time Op.71-1

This intimate miniature is marked by a lyrical melody that suggests a quiet narrative, supported by a gently swaying accompaniment. Like a brief tale unfolding, singing passages alternate with more animated moments, while recurring material takes on changing shades of expression. One of its highlights is the way the melody naturally emerges above the accompaniment and gradually gathers feeling toward the close. In performance, the right-hand phrases should be sustained as a single breath of song, without allowing the left hand to become too heavy. Use the pedal to connect the resonance while avoiding blurring, shape dynamic contrasts without sudden extremes, and preserve a lingering, storybook-like afterglow.
