🇩🇪Clara Schumann ： Impromptu

Clara Schumann’s Impromptu is a piano piece in which free-flowing ideas are closely linked with lyrical expressiveness. By maintaining the line of the melody while listening carefully to the movement of the accompaniment and changes in harmony, one can appreciate the subtle shifts in the music’s character. Rather than dividing the piece mechanically, its appeal lies in shaping the overall flow through attentive phrasing and natural musical breathing. In performance, the principal melody should be allowed to sing clearly while the inner voices and accompaniment remain well balanced. Dynamic changes should be connected naturally without haste, and the pedal should be handled carefully at harmonic changes so that the resonance does not become blurred.
