Johann Sebastian Bach ： French Suite no.2 c-moll BWV 813

This suite consists of six dance movements: Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Air, Minuet, and Gigue. Each movement has its own meter and character, with clear voice-leading and rhythmic contrasts providing much of the musical interest. In performance, it is important to clarify the roles of melody and accompaniment, maintain the flow of the dance rhythms, and distinguish the tempo and expression of each movement. Ornaments should be shaped naturally without interrupting the musical line. A sense of calm and breathing in the Sarabande, followed by the light forward motion of the final movement, helps bring the overall structure vividly to life.
