🇭🇺Bartók Béla Viktor János ： For Children First Edition Vol.1 No.1 Playing Children BB 53 Sz 42

With its lively motion and approachable melody, this short miniature evokes the innocent world of children at play. Within its concise design, the roles of melody and accompaniment are clearly presented, while repeated rhythms and motifs generate the music’s forward momentum. A particular point of interest is the way simple material comes vividly to life through the exchange of short phrases. In performance, keep the pulse flowing without making each note too heavy, using a light touch and natural accents to convey a sense of playfulness. It is also important to sustain the breath of each phrase through its ending and shape the dynamic changes carefully. A transparent sonority and a conversational sense of rhythm will bring out the piece’s charm.
