Sergei Rachmaninov ： Etude-Tableau h-moll Op.39-4

This study has a peculiar dance-like character, combining rhythmic instability with a slightly eerie lightness. Repeated notes and crisp rhythmic figures can easily sound monotonous if played only mechanically. The challenge is to maintain agility while shaping accents, tone color, and character. Its difficulty lies not only in accuracy, but in projecting dark humor, irony, and individuality through finely controlled rhythm.
