🇫🇷Henri Dutilleux ： Au Gre des Ondes – Prelude et berceuse

Included as No. 1, this is a short, concentrated piano work. As its title suggests, it centers on a quiet, prelude-like opening and a gentle flow reminiscent of a lullaby, leaving an impression through delicate harmony and tender lyricism. Rather than emphasizing large-scale contrasts, the listener is invited to attend to the resonance of each sound and the subtle changes in musical breathing. In performance, the melody should be carefully brought out from the accompaniment, while avoiding overly blurred pedaling. Natural flexibility and finely graded dynamics help convey the piece’s quiet intimacy.
