🇩🇪Johann Sebastian Bach ： Allemande and Courante A-Dur BWV 838

This short work consists of two dances, an Allemande and a Courante. The Allemande calls for a measured pace, with careful attention to the flow of each voice and the breathing of the phrases. The following Courante stands out for its livelier sense of motion, with the buoyancy of the beat and the subtle handling of rhythm providing particular points of interest. In performance, the contrasting characters of the two dances should be made clear without rushing the tempo, while ornaments should be connected naturally to the melodic flow. Listening closely to the inner voices, the exchange between parts, and the harmonic changes reveals a sense of dialogue within the concise writing.
