🇷🇺Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky ： 6 Pieces on a Single Theme Scherzo Op.21-6

The sixth piece, “Scherzo,” is a character piece distinguished by its lively motion and vivid rhythmic energy. The finely exchanged movement between melody and accompaniment gives the music a buoyant pulse, while contrasting passages bring a moment of expressive calm within the flow. It is important to maintain an overview of the structure while carefully shaping the direction and dynamics of each phrase. In performance, rather than pursuing speed alone, aim for a light, even touch, clear accents, and transparent sonorities with restrained pedaling. The piece comes to life when its vitality and elegance are balanced with natural breathing and attention to detail.
