🇳🇴Edvard Grieg ： 25 Norwegian Dances and Songs Nils Tallefjorden Op.17-4

The fourth piece from Grieg’s 25 Norwegian Dances and Songs, “Nils Tallefjorden,” presents the simple melody and lively rhythmic character of Norwegian folk music in a compact piano miniature. Within its concise design, the singing quality of the main melody and the forward motion of the accompaniment support the music, while the buoyancy of the beat and its accents shape its character. In performance, the melody should be brought clearly to the fore, while the accompaniment remains light and agile rather than heavy. Carefully shaped dynamic changes can balance the energy of the dance with its approachable simplicity, bringing out the charm of this brief piece.
