🇭🇺Bartók Béla Viktor János ： 10 Easy Piano Pieces No.6 Hungarian Folk Song BB 51 Sz 39

This concise piano setting by Bartók is based on the Hungarian folk song “Snow Fell at the Market in Gödöllő.” A familiar-sounding melody remains at the center, combining the directness of a folk song with the expanded resonance of the piano. Despite its brevity, the piece conveys the presentation of the melody and changing musical expressions, with shifting sonorities within the repetitions providing a particular point of interest. In performance, the melody should be sung out clearly while the accompaniment remains restrained, with careful attention to phrase breathing and natural pauses. Preserving the folk-like simplicity while shaping dynamics and accents with care brings out the music’s appeal.
