🇫🇷Déodat de Séverac ： Women Bathing in the Sun

A richly colored piano work that evokes shimmering light and the openness of an outdoor setting. Centered on gentle melodies, its harmonic sonorities and layered inner voices continually change in expression, shaping a bright and unhurried flow. The delicate movements of the notes may suggest ripples on water or shifting light, while the long melodic lines lend the music an overall sense of calm. In performance, the melody should be brought out carefully with a soft tone, while the accompaniment and inner voices remain restrained. Use the pedal with care, clearing it with each chord so that the sound does not become blurred, and allow the music to breathe naturally as its scenes appear to shift.
