🇪🇸Manuel de Falla ： Vals Capricho

This piano miniature by Falla combines the light rhythm of a dance with a lyrical, expansive melody and ornamental movement. While maintaining the swaying triple meter characteristic of a waltz, it conveys changes of expression from one passage to another, balancing an approachable character with a touch of caprice. In performance, the left-hand accompaniment should not become too heavy, allowing the right-hand melody to emerge clearly. Keeping the tempo steady while attending to the breathing of the phrases and the lightness of the ornaments brings out both its elegance and lively motion. The delicate contrasts in the softer passages also deserve careful attention.
