🇪🇸Isaac Albéniz ： The Seasons Summer Op.201-2

“Summer,” from Albéniz’s piano collection The Seasons, is a compact piece that evokes the brightness and openness of the season through concise piano writing. It unfolds as if concentrating a single scene, and its appeal lies in the contrast between the shaping of the melody and the motion of the accompaniment. The performer should preserve a lively flow without letting the sound become rushed, while allowing a breath at phrase boundaries and keeping the melody from being obscured by the accompaniment. Dynamic changes are best handled without exaggeration; clear sonority and natural forward momentum bring out its cheerful summer character. For students, it is important to clarify the roles of the hands, even out the smaller movements, and maintain the unity of the whole.
