🇦🇹Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ： Sonata for Piano Four Hands in D-Dur K.381

This three-movement work for piano four hands is shaped by the exchange of melodic and accompanying roles between the two players, creating a clear structure and lively momentum. The energetic outer movements contrast with the middle movement, whose songful melody conveys a gentler character, giving the work vivid variety. A particular point of interest is the way motifs and phrases pass between the players, allowing the music to unfold naturally. In performance, careful balance of volume is important, but so are shared breathing and a unified sense of pulse at each exchange. Coordinating articulation, keeping the accompaniment light, and shaping the melody’s direction and subtle dynamic nuances will help create a transparent ensemble.
