The third piece, marked “Allegro precipitato,” brings sharp accents, dissonant sonorities, and urgent rhythmic motion to the foreground. Although moments of wit can be felt, the music maintains its rapid momentum, while powerful blows and sudden changes of expression create tension. Clarifying the flow through distinct divisions brings out the contrast between each section. In performance, the rapid pace should not compromise the precision of the smaller note values; the direction of the accents and the space of the rests should remain clear. Keeping the hand movements small helps prevent the sound from becoming blurred in forte passages, while sustaining focused attacks through the closing measures heightens the piece’s appeal.
