🇩🇪Clara Schumann ： Romantic Waltz Op.4

Clara Schumann’s “Romantic Waltz Op.4” is a piano work built on the waltz’s flowing triple meter, offering an intimate and lyrical atmosphere. The music unfolds through a contrast between the songful melody and the lightness of the accompaniment, with changes of expression from phrase to phrase providing one of its principal points of interest. In performance, it is important to preserve the flow of the meter while allowing the main melody to emerge naturally in a singing manner. Keep the accompaniment restrained, avoid exaggerating dynamic changes, and use delicate nuance and gentle pedaling to express the work’s romantic character with care.
