🇺🇸William L. Gillock ： Piano All the Way 2 Boy Scout March

Included in one of Gillock’s elementary-level collections, this miniature captures the lively character and neat rhythmic energy of a march. Its clear melody and regular accompaniment provide the forward momentum, while the shaping of phrases and changes of impression created through repetition are also worth listening for. In performance, keep a steady tempo while feeling the natural weight of each beat, and bring the melody forward from the accompaniment. Crisp articulation and well-judged dynamic contrasts help convey a light yet confident marching character.
