🇫🇮Jean Sibelius ： Pelleas et Melisande Op.46 – A Spring in the Park

This piano arrangement of music drawn from Sibelius’s incidental music conveys the calm, bright atmosphere of a spring park through light movement and delicate sonorities. Rather than building sustained dramatic tension, it unfolds with an emphasis on the exchange of short phrases and subtle changes of color. The melody should sing naturally without allowing the accompaniment to become heavy. Use the pedal to retain resonance without blurring the texture, and pay close attention to fine dynamic shaping and transparency; these bring out the gentle scene and its Nordic sense of stillness.
