🇳🇴Edvard Grieg ： Peer Gynt Suite No.1 In the Hall of the Mountain King Op.46-4

This piano rendering of one of Grieg’s representative orchestral works begins quietly with a repeated figure in the low register, gradually heightening the tension as the theme is introduced. A major point of interest is the progression toward a forceful climax as the volume and speed increase through repeated statements. In performance, it is important to keep the repeated figure light and crisp, maintain a steady pulse, and shape the gradual increase in volume and changes of speed carefully. Rather than rushing toward the excitement of the closing section, performers should express the music as one broad arc of tension from its quiet beginning to the end, bringing out its dramatic power.
