🇫🇷Gabriel Urbain Fauré ： Nocturne No.9 in h-moll Op.97

One of Fauré’s later nocturnes, this work conveys an introspective atmosphere and shifting emotions within a concise musical language. Its overall course moves from the quiet presentation of a singing melody with restrained accompaniment toward passages of greater motion and tension, before returning to the character of the opening. The melody should be allowed to breathe naturally, while changes in the inner voices and harmony are brought out with care. Pedaling should be controlled so that the sonority remains clear, and even in more intense passages, expression should rely on delicate inflection rather than volume alone.
