🇫🇷Francis Jean Marcel Poulenc ： Nocturne No.7 in E-Dur FP.56

Centered on a gently singing melody, the piece combines transparent harmonic support with Poulenc’s characteristically colorful harmony. In broad terms, it moves from a quiet opening toward a more active middle section, then settles into a calm conclusion while retaining the atmosphere of the beginning. The principal melody should be shaped naturally as a long-breathed phrase, with the inner voices and accompaniment kept restrained so that the changes of character are not exaggerated. Use the pedal without clouding the resonance, and draw out the intimate, conversational quality through delicate dynamic shading and flexible pauses.
