🇦🇷Alberto Ginastera ： Malambo Op.7

This solo piano work by Alberto Ginastera centers on the sharp rhythms derived from Argentine dance and a powerful, percussive sonority. It unfolds through the repetition and transformation of short motifs, while shifting accents, syncopations, and contrasts of register heighten the tension. Highlights include passages where the driving force of the bass intersects with the urgent brilliance of the treble, as well as climaxes in which the rhythm seems to break free all at once. In performance, it is important not to pursue speed alone, but to maintain a clear metric framework and sharply defined accents. To keep the sound from becoming blurred in forte passages, pay attention to flexibility in the wrists and the direction of the attack; in rapid repetitions and leaps, balancing precision with a wild, vigorous energy brings the character of the work into sharper focus.
