🇫🇷Joseph Maurice Ravel ： Ma mere l Oye Le jardin feerique Piano Duet

The final movement of Ma mère l’Oye, “Le jardin féerique,” begins with a quiet atmosphere suggestive of a fairy-tale world, then gradually builds toward a radiant climax as its melodic and harmonic expanses unfold. The exchanges between four hands and the widening range characteristic of a piano duet enrich the musical flow. At the opening, it is important not to hurry, but to preserve transparent sonorities and long phrases with care. From the middle onward, the performers should distinguish the movement of each voice while building the dynamics gradually, taking care not to make the sound harsh even at the climax. In the conclusion, preserving the resonance and allowing the fairy-tale scene to recede gently brings out the music’s dreamlike beauty.
