🇭🇺Bartók Béla Viktor János ： For Children Revised Edition Vol.2 No.31 Outlaw Song BB 53 Sz 42

“Outlaw Song” is a short piece centered on a plain yet powerful melody, with an undercurrent of tension and rough-edged energy. The singing main line is supported by a concise accompaniment and pointed rhythms, while the repetition of short units gives the music its distinctive character. Phrase endings should be clearly shaped rather than left vague, and accents should be brought out without pounding, preserving the flow of the beat. Follow the direction of the melody and its dynamic changes carefully, retaining a sense of song even amid the music’s ruggedness.
