🇭🇺Bartók Béla Viktor János ： For Children Revised Edition Vol.1 No.19 Allegretto BB 53 Sz 42

The nineteenth piece from the revised first volume of Bartók’s For Children is a concise and taut miniature marked Allegretto. A clear melodic line and rhythmic movement support the music, while a succession of short phrases gives the piece its shape. One of its attractions is the natural sense of division and transition between these sections. In performance, avoid rushing and maintain a steady pulse while bringing the melody forward from the accompaniment. Precise attention to note lengths and rests, together with carefully controlled dynamic changes, brings out an elegant and lively character.
