🇭🇺Bartók Béla Viktor János ： For Children First Edition Vol.1 No.10 Children’s Dance BB 53 Sz 42

This concise, lively miniature appears in Volume 1 of Bartók’s first edition of For Children. As its title suggests, it is centered on light, dance-like motion, with a clear rhythmic pulse and crisp phrases driving the music forward. A succession of short musical units, together with changes in accent and expression within the repetitions, provides much of its appeal. In performance, it is important to maintain the flow of the beat without making each note too heavy, while clearly distinguishing the articulation of the staccatos and accents. Careful balance between the hands allows its simple familiarity and vivid sense of movement to emerge together.
