🇧🇷Heitor Villa-Lobos ： Flower Suite Joy in the Orchard Op.97-3

This short piece from Villa-Lobos’s Flower Suite has a bright, approachable character that evokes the “joy in the orchard” suggested by its title. A songful melody is combined with a lively accompaniment and changing sonorities, creating not only simple charm but also richly colorful expression. One of its attractions lies in shaping the character of each passage as though the scene were changing, while maintaining a clear sense of the overall flow. In performance, the melody should be allowed to emerge fully, while the accompaniment remains light. Careful control of dynamics and pedal helps prevent blurred sonorities and leads the music toward a natural sense of exhilaration.
