🇦🇹Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ： Fantasia in c-moll (unfinished) K.396 (K6.385f)

This fantasia consists of a surviving fragment, marked by the profound shading of C minor and a free, improvisatory manner of expression. Even within its brief span, changes between harmonic tension and release, together with shifts in the music’s quiet breathing, shape the work. Its appeal lies not only in the expressive line, but also in the instability and resonance created by the inner voices and changing harmonies. In performance, preserve the underlying pulse while allowing flexible space between phrases, and keep the pedaling clear so that the work’s delicate shades can emerge.
