🇭🇺Franz Liszt ： Christmas Tree O heilige Nacht! S.186/R.71 A267

This short piece centers on a quiet, prayerful melody supported by a gentle accompaniment. Rather than emphasizing brilliance, it unfolds with a simple and devout atmosphere. The singing quality of the melody and the natural breathing of each phrase should remain central, while the dynamics must be carefully balanced so that the inner voices and accompaniment do not come forward too strongly. Attending closely to changes of expression from one passage to the next, and allowing the sound to settle softly toward the end, brings out its intimate and pure character. The pedal should be used only to the extent that the sonority remains clear, with the harmonic changes listened to carefully throughout.
