🇩🇪Robert Schumann ： Album fur die Jugend Puppenschlafliedchen in F-Dur Anh. Op.68/10

This miniature brings together a gentle, sleep-inducing melody and a softly flowing accompaniment. Short phrases follow one another naturally, with the music unfolding around the melody’s singing quality. Its appeal lies in the delicate breathing within its simple writing and the soft afterglow created by the blending of sounds. In performance, avoid marking the beat mechanically; sustain each phrase to its end and let it sing as one continuous line. Use the pedal sparingly so that the sound does not become blurred, and balance the melody against the accompaniment to bring out the piece’s quiet intimacy. Keep the pace unhurried, while maintaining a sense of forward motion.
