🇩🇪Georg Friedrich Händel ： 6 Fugen Fugue No.3 in B-Dur HWV 607

The third fugue from Handel’s Six Fugues is built around a clear subject, unfolding through imitation and dialogue among the voices. At the opening, the subject is presented successively by the voices; as the exposition proceeds, independent lines overlap to create a continuous sense of tension. Listening for the subject’s appearances and the movement of each voice provides a key to understanding the structure. In performance, it is important not to let the right hand dominate, but to give each voice a singing quality while maintaining the balance of the whole. Careful fingering and clear articulation that preserves the note values help reveal the contrapuntal lines. The pedal should be used sparingly to avoid blurring the texture, allowing the subject to emerge naturally within the flow.
