🇷🇺Dmitri Borisovich Kabalevsky ： 24 Easy Pieces for Children No.18 Galop Op.39-18

A lively and energetic galop from Kabalevsky’s 24 Easy Pieces for Children. Clear rhythms and buoyant movement drive the piece forward, while its brief span conveys a distinctly cheerful character and sense of momentum. Highlights include the crisp rhythmic changes and the forward motion created by the overlapping musical lines. In performance, it is important not to let the tempo run away, but to maintain a clear sense of the beat and keep the staccatos light and even. Shape the dynamic contrasts naturally, and sustain a bright, expansive tone and energy through to the end.
