🇦🇷Alberto Ginastera ： 12 American Preludes Elegy Op.12-2

An introspective and tense elegy from Ginastera’s 12 American Preludes. Within its concise musical design, passages shaped like calls emerge through the use of silence and space, alongside moments of slight emotional intensification, bringing a poignant quality to the surrounding stillness. The melodic line should be allowed to sing broadly, while careful attention should also be paid to the placement of the chords and changes of register. In performance, the slow tempo should not be maintained mechanically; instead, it should breathe and sway naturally, with the resonance of each note carefully sustained. Even with restrained dynamic contrasts, clarifying the movement of the inner voices and the direction of the tension allows the concentrated expression of this brief prelude to come through.
