🇮🇹Domenico Scarlatti ： Sonata in G-Dur K.314 L.441

This sonata is marked by Scarlatti’s clear sense of momentum and passages that move lightly across the keyboard. Built on a single-movement binary form, it advances through the exchange of short motives and figures between the hands. Listening for the contrast between the two sections, the changes of key, and the variations that emerge through repetition reveals the interest of its design. In performance, rapid notes should be even and clearly articulated without being rushed, while ornaments should be integrated naturally into the musical flow. Maintaining a sense of lightness while shaping the direction of each phrase and the resonance of cadences brings out the work’s transparent character.
