🇮🇹Domenico Scarlatti ： Sonata in G-Dur K.241 L.180

Scarlatti’s Sonata in G major, K.241, L.180, is an appealing work with a bright, lively character and a well-balanced sense of structure. Based on a single-movement binary form, it develops the musical material presented in the first half, passing through changes of key before returning to the home key. The intricate movement and ornamental passages call for clear, well-defined articulation. Be attentive to the exchanges between the hands, shaping short phrases carefully while maintaining the overall flow. Rather than exaggerating the dynamics, bring out the freshness of G major through a light touch and natural musical breathing.
