🇮🇹Domenico Scarlatti ： Sonata in D-Dur K.534 L.11

Scarlatti’s Sonata in D-Dur K.534 L.11 is a concise work completed in a single movement. Finely detailed motion built from short motifs and exchanges between the hands give the music its forward drive, while the contrasting character of the two sections emerges vividly. In the repeats, it is important not to present the same figures mechanically, but to maintain the flow by listening for the direction of each phrase and the harmonic changes. Ornaments should be handled lightly within the beat, and fast passages should be played with evenness while keeping the wrists and arms relaxed. Clear articulation and restrained use of the pedal help preserve the outline of each voice.
