🇮🇹Domenico Scarlatti ： Sonata in D-Dur K.346 L.60

The clear melodic lines and ornamental motion characteristic of Scarlatti’s keyboard sonatas emerge through concise writing. Although compact in its single-movement design, the sonata shapes its musical flow through the contrast and repetition between its two halves, with the exchange of phrases providing an additional point of interest. In performance, ornaments should be treated as part of the melodic line rather than played mechanically, while careful balance between the hands is essential. Maintaining a clear sense of the beat while shaping pauses like punctuation and changes of register brings out the music’s transparent character.
