🇮🇹Domenico Scarlatti ： Sonata in C-Dur K.384 L.2

Scarlatti’s Sonata in C major, K.384 L.2, is a concise and tightly focused keyboard work shaped by lively rhythms and clear forward momentum. Short motives and recurring figures give form to the flow, while two sections unfold in contrast. It is important to maintain a clear sense of direction in both the first and second sections, keeping the pulse steady while bringing out the natural exchange of figures. In performance, avoid rushing the tempo, balance the sonorities of the two hands, and use crisp articulation to convey lightness. Ornaments should support the melodic direction, and restrained pedaling helps preserve a transparent sound, allowing the work’s contours to emerge vividly.
