🇫🇷Jean-Philippe Rameau ： Rigaudon

Rameau’s “Rigaudon” is a lively dance piece distinguished by its buoyant rhythms and clear sense of meter. The music unfolds through concise phrase units and repetition, creating a graceful sense of movement while retaining a poised overall shape. Its highlights include the energy generated by crisp rhythmic figures and the contrast between phrases. In performance, keep the pulse steady and aim for a bright, light sound with clean, even articulation rather than a heavy approach. Ornaments should not be overemphasized, but allowed to blend naturally into the characteristic gesture of the dance.
