🇷🇺Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev ： Music for Children Walk Op.65-2

This miniature is marked by a lively rhythm suggesting a steady walk and a concise, approachable melody. Short phrases seem to answer one another, while contrasts that suggest changes of scene bring out Prokofiev’s unexpected harmonic turns and sharp accents. In performance, aim for light, even staccato with well-shaped individual notes, while preserving a natural sense of direction rather than sounding mechanical. Keep the melody clearly above the accompaniment, and respond carefully to the rests and dynamic changes so that the buoyant movement and humor of the piece come through.
