🇮🇹Muzio Clementi ： Monferrina in C-Dur WO15

Clementi’s Monferrina in C major is a lively piano miniature that captures the character of the Italian dance known as the monferrina. Its light rhythmic flow and approachable melody form the central appeal, while the exchange and repetition of short phrases give the music a clear sense of unity. Where the musical scene changes, carefully shaping dynamics and articulation brings added expression to its simple, dance-like character. For performance, avoid rushing the tempo, maintain a well-balanced relationship between the hands, and allow the melody to sing naturally while keeping the accompaniment light. When ornamental notes appear, clarity and a supple touch will help preserve the continuity of the music.
