🇫🇷Jacques Ibert ： Little Suite on 15 Images Rondo

“Rondo” is a miniature that invites the listener to enjoy a lively rhythmic character and vivid contrasts. Centered on the return of a recurring main section, passages of differing character alternate to create an animated overall flow. Its appeal lies in the sense of unity each return of the theme brings, as well as the changes of expression that suggest shifts from one scene to another. In performance, it is important to distinguish the character of each section while avoiding mechanical repetition and introducing subtle changes in tone color and dynamics. A light touch and clear rhythm should be maintained without rushing, allowing the music’s sharp-edged humor to emerge.
