🇷🇺Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev ： Allegretto in c-moll

Prokofiev’s Allegretto in C minor is a piano miniature marked by a lively forward motion and sharply etched accents. Short phrases form cohesive units as the music unfolds, while clear rhythms create moments of tension and humor. Highlights include the interplay between the outline of the melody and the driving accompaniment, as well as the changes in expression created by contrasts in dynamics. In performance, it is important to maintain the tempo without blurring note values and to avoid making the staccatos and accents excessively heavy. Use the pedal sparingly to keep the sound clear, and shape the phrases flexibly so that the music does not become mechanical; this brings out the work’s vivid character.
